nmcli

Controls NetworkManager from the command line.

nmcli manages connections, Wi-Fi, devices, and NetworkManager state.

Syntax
nmcli [object] [command]

Arguments explained

  • Options adjust output or behavior.
  • Arguments name the files, services, hosts, or values the command should work with.

Common examples

Show devices
nmcli device status

Lists network devices and connection state.

List connections
nmcli connection show

Shows configured NetworkManager connections.
